Annapurna Base Camp Trekking | Itinerary | Costing | Mapping

Annapurna Base Camp trekking is one of the well-known trekking routes for trekker around the globe. The Annapurna base camp lies underneath of Mt Annapurna I (8091m) where base camp sitting on an altitude of 4130m. Surrounded by the mighty peak Himchuli, Annapurna south, Annapurna Fang, Ten Peak, Ghangapurna and Machapuchre (fishtail). Among all this, the sanctuary is considered as moderate and most rewarding trek which is suitable for anyone who had medium physical fitness.

Annapurna sanctuary trek begins from Kathmandu, explore and discover the historical sites, drive to Nayapul via very beautiful town named Pokhara. The trekking starts from Birethati village Modi Khola which passes through the prosperous village of Tikedhunga. Then after a short hike, we walk through the very steeply steps “Ulleri” which is also known as very challenging to tackle for the trekkers. Then after some rest, we walk towards a very note-worthy spot among trekkers which is “Ghorepani”. Ghorepani is a medial village situating at 2850m. The native demographic majority state of this village consists of Gurung and Magar people. The next early morning we head towards “Poon hill” (3210m/10529ft) which is the very popular spot for sunrise. Poon hill is also famous for its wide panoramic view of mighty peaks of whole Annapurna range.

Then after Poonhill, we walk northeast of Ghorepani towards Tadapani through the beautiful village of Chomrong. After an enjoyable trek to Chomrong, we gradually step down to very well maintained stone steps down to Modikhola. Then we start to ascend from Modi Khola and we will reach a place called Sinuwa. After the Sinuwa, we enter into the Sanctuary area (the buffer zone) Likewise, we move into the gulley through glistening moist avenue which makes trekkers a very soul refreshing feeling over the enthralling  hike and where the most endangered species in the Himalayas like snow leopard, wild pheasant can also be observed if you are lucky. We take a narrow trail which also passes through the valley alongside Modi Khola. Then after passing some tea house on trial further up hills trek, then pass alongside on massive rock Hunkue cave. From there we will see some tea house place called Deaurali. From here we will be above the tree line zone and straight forwards for trekker awaited place called Machapuchare base camp about 2-hour walk throughout the gorge you will be on ABC the highest elevation of the trek. From this point, you will see the 360 degrees of the snowcapped mountain around you. After the sunrise views from ABC we descent down the place called bamboo, the after passing through trials until Chomrong village we step down to Jhnudada (natural hot spring). Next to last day trek along the valley and exploring the remote village we will be on Nayapul trek end and drive to Pokhara.

Day 1&2 Kathmandu, Nepal
When you arrived in Kathmandu, Tribhuwan international airport, Mercy Holidays representative or your trekking leader welcome and escorts towards the hotel. You will be cheek-inn at a particular hotel, After having fresh up and some rest, our trip leader gathers you to flow the information about your trips like and orientation. Spending the following and next day by discovering the pilgrim’s site Pashupatinath and Boudhanath, both part of UNESCO world heritage site. The first day of your arrival Mercy Holidays offer you welcome dinner on typical Nepali restaurant with culture show.

Day 03 : Drive to Nay pool via Pokhara approx drive (6) hours
Early morning after breakfast we will drive west of Kathmandu about 250 km Prithvi high way, passing the beautiful landscape alongside Trishul River, throughout the touristic city Pokhara then to Nayapool. From Nayapool treks begin we will starch our legs about 45 minutes to Barathati village confluence place of Modi Khola and Bhauradi Khola.

Day 04: Trek to Bhanthati (2500m) approx walk (4-5) hours 
Today our journey begins alongside Burundi Khola, following the main trails towards the shudame village, passing the farmland, paddy terraces, and beautiful village, called Thakedhunga (sharp stone). Furthermore, we have to climb steeply up through the Ullari village, which is really challenging for the trekker with the stunning views of Annapurna south. After the big climbs bring us to the Bhanthati village.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2850m) approx walk (3-4) hours 
Morning dawn, our trek continues through the dense forest of rhododendron and magnolia in spring forest bloom amazing and wonderful. The gradual treks emerge from the forest at Ghorapani. The Nepali meaning of Ghorepani is the horse water, place suddenly splendid the mountain vista appear before us, Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt Annapurna south and other giant mountains of Himalayas. We will be here by the lunchtime after lunch we will explore Ghorepani.

Day 06: Ascends to Poon Hill (3210m/10530ft) and Trek to Tadapani (2600m/8530ft) approx walk (5-6) hours
Today very early morning about hour climbs to poon hill, to see the spectacular sunrise views over the Mt Dhaulagiri and Mt Annapurna Himal. Poon hill is the perfect destination and paradise place for a photographer. Early morning about an hour’s climbs will be the main highlights of trekking.  After the wonderful sunrise we will decent to our lodge, then after breakfast follows trails East Ridge towards Dhaulagiri (3193m) through rhododendron, hemlock, and fir forest up to Tadapani. Today if you are lucky great chances to see wildlife. Undulating Descents and ascends throughout the forest trails brings us to the Tadapani.

Day 07: Trek to Chomrong (2170m/7120ft) walk approx (5-6) hours
After the morning dawn, our journey descents through the forest to Kumrung Khola, a tributary river of Modi Khola. After crossing the several suspension bridges, ascends steep brings to the prosper village chroming. The beautiful Gurung community village situated at the lap of giant Annapurna, as well the magnificent views of Annapurna south and fishtails from our tea house.

Day 08: Trek to Dovan (2600m/8530ft) walk approx (5-6) hours
The trails from our hotel descent to Chhomrong Khola on well-maintained stone staircases; furthermore we will cross the suspension bridge and ascends the trials through Sinuwa. The walk should be very hot on the sun with long steep, after Sinuwa, our trails enter into the silent forest we move into the gulley through glistening moist avenue which makes trekkers a very soul refreshing feeling over the enthralling and where the most endangered species in the Himalayas can also be observed all the way to Doven.

Day 09: Trek to Machapucharae base camp (3700m/12139ft) approx walk (6-7) hours 
Today we continue our journey through the forest and finally, we enter into the sanctuary the buffer zone of Annapurna region. Passing the lodge of the Himalayan hotel, further steeply a climb brings us to the Hinku cave, where the ancient expedition uses their camp. From this point we are above the tree zone Dramatic change of scenery, leaving the forest and vegetation of alpine regions behind us through Deaurali. The trails become wilderness as we approach for Machapuchare Base Camp.

Day 10:Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m/13550ft) approx walk (3) hours
Today two hours walk bring us to the main highlights of our trekking Annapurna base camp. Surrounded by the giant mountain like Mt Annapurna I, Mt Annapurna South, Mt Himchuli, Annapurna south, Annapurna Fang, ten peaks, Mt Fishtail. The Annapurna sanctuary boasts of a dynamic, superb, jaw-dropping, humongous range of views with a 360-degree panorama. After lunch, we explore the ABC about 100 up through the lateral moraine and back to lodge.

Day 11: Trek descant Bamboo (23100m/7578ft) approx walk (6-7) hours  
Leaving the footprint on Annapurna base camp (sanctuary) we will retrace our steps down to Machapuchare Base Camp, through the Deaurali to bamboo (about 1800m descends ) with the amazing landscape of Himalayas.

Day 12: Descends and ascends via Chhomrong to Jhanudanda (1760m/5840ft) approx walk (6-7) hours 
Today we follow the downhill trek via Sinuwa to Chhomrong Khola then we accent the well stone staircase up to the Chhomrong village, furthermore trails descend to Jhanudhada, our one night home. Today we will get the opportunity of natural hot spring (15-20minutes) downhills alongside your lodge.

Day 13: Trek to Nayapool and Drive to Pokhara approx walk (5 hours and 1-hour drive )
Last day for our trek, on our way to Nayapool we will get the amazing landscape via passing the farmland, paddy terraces, and several villages of western Nepal brings to Nayapool then drive to Pokhara.

Day 14: Explore and Discover Pokhara city
Pokhara city is known as the lake of the city as well as the main touristic hub of Nepal. We can do every kind of adventure activities like biking, cycling, boating, bungee jump, and paragliding. Along with this, we can explore the tourist site like Mahindra cave, David fall, peace stupa, and other more.

Day15: Pokhara Kathmandu domestic flight / Drive via Tourist Bus 
Today you will get the two options either by Pokhara Kathmandu domestic flight or you will drive to Kathmandu. Drive takes a whole day drive to get in Kathmandu and flight take about 30 minutes flight. 

Day 16: Final departure.
As according to your flight schedule your trekking guide or Mercy Holidays representative will transfer to airport for your final departure.
