manaslu circuit trekking I itinerary | cost | map

Manaslu Circuit Trekking is one of the fine destinations for an enthusiast trekker. Manaslu circuit trekking is not so easy and not so challenging. Our travel firms highly recommended for the medium and strong physical fitness for the trekker. While on the trip we get stunning, suburb, tremendous, magnificent views of Manaslu (8163m), the eight tallest mountains in the universe. The fabulous Manaslu circuit trekking offers you attractive views of Shringi Himal (7161m) Himchuli (7893m) Peak 29 (7871m) Ganesh Himal (7118m) and other more eye-catching mighty peaks. This trekking gives chance to explore the Himalayans lifestyle, demographic diversity, unique landscape; alpine lake, abundant wildlife, flora, and fauna, waterfall, an ancient monastery, etc are the witness of the humongous beauty of these regions. The highest point of this trek is “larkya la pass” 5163m which is widely believed to be one of the most dramatic passes for footloose inside the great Himalayas trails. Manaslu circuit is located near the border of Nepal and Tibet, which was officially open for trekking purposes in 1992. The name Manaslu means “the spirit –mountain” also the most challenging and yet untouched and off beaten mountain trekking track lying in the midwestern part of Nepal. The Manaslu circuit trekking will be the lifetime trekking experience inside the Himalayas and the most delightful adventure.

Day 13: Trek to Larkya Pass (5106/16752ft) Decent Bimthang (3590m/11778ft) approx walks (8-9) hours
An early start (usually in the dark) with the head torch and proper trekking gears. Today is a long day and if there is any snow it can take us a long time to cross the pass, especially the descent. The trail leaves Dharamsala and climbs steeply at first but then more gradually by the side of the moraine of the glacier with great views of Larkya Peak. The ascent is gradual most of the way and is fairly easy if there is no snow (if there is snow or ice it will take us much longer). It’s a long and rocky ascent on the moraine with some short steeper sections to the top of the Larkya Pass (5,106m). The witness with prayer flags at 5,106m is the official Larkya La from where the views are sensational  - a wonderful panorama of peaks including Larkya Peak, Cheo Himal, and Hindu Peak and in the distance, we can see the tip of Annapurna 2. From the top, there is a 10 minute almost level walk to the second summit (which is a little higher and is also marked with a few prayer flags). From here the long very steep descent starts. We need to take care of as the path is steep and narrow. There is a landslide which we must cross carefully. The steep part of the trail eventually eases off onto a path that takes us down to the glacial moraine. The views are superb as we descend, and we can just spot Pongkar Lake, a brilliant blue glacial lake amidst glaciers below us. We stop for a well-deserved rest at the bottom of the steep section, where you are surrounded by immense snow-capped peaks. From this place descent becomes a bit easier, but no less spectacular, as we descend the valley to Bimthang, where we stay tonight at 3,700m our one night home.
Overnight at mountain lodge (BLD)

Day 15: Trek to Tilje  (2300m/7546ft) approx walks (6-7) hours

The walk from Bhimthang is one of the most spectacular of the trek as a wall of mountains lies behind us and in front of us. We pass the terminal moraine of the Cheo Himal and cross a small wooden bridge. Ahead we have our last magnificent views of Manaslu. We descend into the wonderful jungle and follow a trail through a narrow valley. A short climb past terraced fields brings us to the Karcher La from where we will be in sight of the Marsyangdi River below. Descending through the forest brings us to Tilje, where we spend the night.
Overnight at mountain lodge (BLD).

Day 16: Trek to Jagat (1300m/4265ft) approx walks (6-7) hours
Today's last day of our trek on the mountain, today day might quite long but walking throughout the spectacular trail.
