Everest Panorama Trekking 12 Days

Everest Panorama Trekking 12 Days

$1000 / per person
(0 Reviews)

Everest Panorama Trekking is an easier and shorter version of treks in the Everest Region. The trek starts from Lukla and ends at Tengboche, hence called the halfway trek to Everest Base Camp.

This trek is suitable for kids (13 and above) and aged trekkers. This is because you don’t have to fight the altitudinal difficulties if you were to reach the base camp. Although you will not reach the base camp, you will certainly be able to witness the stunning views of the trail.

Since we will return from Tengboche, the Tengboche monastery is the final destination (and a major highlight) of the trek. The monastery is the largest Buddhist monastery in the Khumbu region. It hosts the annual celebration Mani Rimdu which can be a fascinating observation.

Tour Plan

1

Welcome to Kathmandu

Our representative will welcome you at Tribhuwan International Airport wearing a blue Mercy Holidays t-shirt with our placard to escort you to the hotel. You will be checked in at the hotel. We will organize an orientation meeting after refreshment. Look forward to a warm cultural welcome performance.
2

Sightseeing around Kathmandu

This day will be spent touring pilgrimage sites: Pashupatinath and Boudhanath, both enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
3

Day 03: Kathmandu-Lukla flight (2860m/9383ft) and Trek to Phakding (2610m/8700ft) walk approx. 3 hours

Prepare mentally for an exhilarating 35-minute flight on a Twin Otter to Lukla (2800m/9184ft). You will greatly admire the bird’s-eye view of the mountain range of Nepal. We will meet our Sherpa guide, potter, or Himalayan yak to carry your luggage after landing. Our trek begins with 150 meters descent alongside the gorging Dudh Koshi (Milky River). As we follow the main trail to the beautiful village of Phakding (2652m/ 8700ft) you will occasionally pass through numerous Maane walls, Chyorten, memorials, and boulders carved with Tibetan Buddhist prayer inscriptions.
4

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11286ft) walks approx. 6 hours

We will trek to the north of Dudhkoshi valley to Manjo, throughout the entrance of Sagarmatha national park. This day trek takes us through the magnificent forests of Rhododendron, Giant Fir, and Pine. This is when we will see Mt. Everest for the first time from Top Dada (if the clouds permit.) We then take a steep climb to Namche Bazaar. This bustling settlement has almost everything from the Internet, lodges, ATMs, and pubs to Himalayan handicrafts.
5

Day 5: Rest and free exploration around Namche.

After breakfast, we will take a short hike (15 to 20 minutes) to Namche View Point. The Namche viewpoint is a magnificent place that offers an undisturbed view of the glorious peaks. The scenery is sure to bring the photogenic you to life. There is also an army barrack around the site that might be a nice place to observe. You can also request to visit the Sherpa museum which has a brilliant photo gallery and historical displays. We will return for lunch at our hotel. We can either take a rest during the day or trek to Everest Viewpoint for even better scenery. This entirely depends on your preference.
6

Day 6: Trek to Tengboche (5 to 6 hours)

You will wake up for breakfast. Since the body has acclimatized and had enough rest yesterday, you will now head off to Tengboche. There are two routes to reach Tengboche: a steeper upper route and a gentler and wider lower route. We will take the latter. This trail was entirely built by a single Nepalese local. Visitors gladly provide donations at this place to praise his audacious service. The trail is flat until Kyangjoma and then it descends after there. The scenery is absolutely enticing throughout the entire journey here. After stopping for lunch on the journey, we will reach Tengboche before 4. After exploring the area, we will spend a night here.
7

Day 7: Exploration and Trek back to Namche

This is the highlight of the trek. We will visit the Tengboche monastery today. Established in 1916 AD, it was destroyed by an earthquake. 55 years after this disaster happened, the monastery was again destroyed by a massive fire. The monastery, and Tengboche itself, lie within the world heritage site: Sagarmatha National Park. If you trek in Autumn (October), you might want to observe and participate in the annual Mani Rimdu festival. This is a religious tradition that is marked by ceremonies, meditation, and colorful mandalas (religious artwork). A mandala, that takes 4 days to make with colorful sand, is unveiled during the commencement. The Rinpoche (Tibetan term that translates to “precious one”) blesses the observers during the end after which the remarkable Mask Dance is performed. We will return to Namche via the same trail that brought us here. The night will be spent in Namche.
8

Day 8: Trek back to Phakding

Early morning breakfast should give you the needed energy to descend to Phakding. The trek takes around 5 to 6 hours.
9

Day 9: Trek back to Lukla

The trek down takes 2.5 hours. Just to spice things up, we will take a slightly different path from last time. This one is gentler, silent than the main trail. After 1.5 hours, we will rejoin the main trail and reach Lukla.
10

Day 10: Flight to Kathmandu

We will take a flight to Kathmandu. You will then be escorted to the hotel from Kathmandu’s Tribhuwan Airport. You are free to explore around in the evening or simply relax at the hotel.
11

Day 11: Free exploration to heritage sites (ones we did not visit last time.)

Kathmandu still has a lot to offer. You might want to visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square or any place or activity of your choice.
12

Day 12: Departure

This day is scheduled accordingly to overlap with your return flight. Depending on the timing of your flight, you will be duly escorted to the airport. It is time to head back to civilization.
