Tour Plan

1

Arrival

A Visa for Nepal is issued on arrival at the Tribhuwan Airport. You will be received by a Mercy Holidays representative. After freshening up at our hotel, we will go for dinner at a nearby hotel. You will get a chance to enjoy Nepalese cuisines with cultural performances.
2

Drive to Pokhara (827m/ 2,700ft)

Early in the morning after breakfast, we will take a tourist bus to Pokhara. Driving on the Prithvi Highway alongside the river Trishuli is itself a peaceful journey. We will reach Pokhara at about 3 pm. You will then be escorted to a hotel near Lake Side.
3

1 hour Drive to Kande and about two hours Trekking to Australian Base Camp (1890m/6200ft)

After breakfast, we will set off to explore the touristic sites of Pokhara. Fewa Lake, Devi’s Falls, and Mahendra Cave are a few possible options. Then, we will take lunch and hit the road to Kande via a private vehicle. Kande has a blissful landmark and it receives one of the highest amounts of rainfall in the country. Our trek starts from here. The trail slopes upward steeply. The interesting thing is that our final destination is visible right from the start of the trek. After about 2 hours of hiking, you will finally reach the Australian Base Camp. Unlike other camps, the Australian Base Camp is a well-established settlement area. The beautiful city of Pokhara is visible from the top hill and the Phewa Lake is especially magnificent.
4

Trek to Forest Camp (2,520m/8064ft): approx trek 6- 7 hours

After dawn, we will have our breakfast while admiring the serene atmosphere and sunrise. The place is scenic with attention-grabbing views of the Annapurna range. The trail further winds through the rhododendron forest for 1.5 hours to a mountain pass called ‘Deurali’. Deurali overlooks the Modi Khola valley wedged between Annapurna South and Mardi Himal/ Mt Fishtail. There are no proper lodges on the way except a few teashops. Thus, we will pack our own lunch and water. We will further walk through dense Rhododendron vegetation and finally reach Forest Camp.
5

Trek to high camp via low camp and Badal dada (3540m/11,328ft): approx 6/ 7 hours

The trail gradually further climbs through the rhododendron forests along the ridge. The low camp has a few tea houses in the clearing of the forest. You find yourself closer to the clear blue sky with the view of Mt. Fishtail, Mardi Himal, and the sweeping valley to the south. A further climb of an hour shall bring you to Badal Dada (Cloud Hill). As the name suggests, interesting cloud formations can be seen from Badal Dada. Snowcapped peaks of Annapurna South, Huinchuli, and Fishtail loom in a distance above the deep valley on either side. You will also see the trail that leads to the Annapurna Base Camp on the left. Further gradual trekking through scarcer vegetation and pasturelands will bring us to High Camp.
6

Trek to Mardi Base Camp (4,500m/14765ft) Overnight at Badal Dhada: approx 8-9 hours

Today is the highlight of the entire Mardi Himal trekking. We will wake up early to reach the viewpoint for sunrise. Watching the mild yellow rays take over the glorious sunrise and illuminate them is a wonderful sight. But better scenery and beauty await us in the base camp higher above the trail. A pile of marked stone slabs signals the arrival of the base camp. Mt. Fishtail and Mardi Himal look spectacular from here. We will take a group picture and descend slowly through the same path to the high camp for lunch.
7

Descent to Siding (1845m/6053ft) approx 5-6 hours trek

After dawn and great views from the High Camp itself, we walk down to Low Camp via a different route to complete a circuit. We will take a direct route from Low Camp to the village of Siding. Siding is a traditional Nepalese village and is still a long way away from the busy tourist treks. However, the price to pay for wilder scenery is equally untamed downward trails. Thus, you might get occasional glimpses of wildlife in this part of the trek.
8

Drive to Pokhara (approx 4 hours)

You can wake up a bit later than the other days. If the weather permits, the glorious Mt. Fishtail will greet you first thing in the morning. We will have breakfast and get on a four-hour drive to Pokhara. On the way, there is a canyoning camping area where adventure lovers come to take the most thrill from the activity. We will reach Pokhara at lunch. The rest of the day can be utilized by exploring the city, Phewa Lake, and/ or taking a spa.
9

Flight/ Drive to Kathmandu approx 7-9 hours

After an energizing breakfast, we will board a 30-minutes flight to Kathmandu. You can also choose to drive back to Kathmandu, which almost takes a whole day. If you have enough time left, you can also explore the worth-visiting sites in Kathmandu, which this city isn’t short of. In the evening, we will organize dinner with a cultural performance for you.
10

Departure

We will bid you farewell at the airport depending on your flight schedule.
