Ama Yangri Trek – Short but Amazing Trek to Ama Yangri

We start this journey by taking a local bus or a private vehicle from the capital to Tarke Ghyang (2,530 meters). Along the way, we see beautiful small villages, lush hills, and a few mountain ranges. Tarke Ghyang is a beautiful village lying below Ama Yangri Peak. We will be accommodating here for the night.
The next morning, we head towards our destination. The initial section of the trek consists of walking through the forest. However, as we move further, the trail gets steeper and the view of the mountain range gets clearer.
Upon arrival, we will have a stunning panoramic view of the mountain ranges like the Langtang range, Mt Everest, and many more. There are no local tea shops on the top and en route. Therefore, we should carry the essential goods that we require on the way.
After a few hours, we return to our hotel, where we stay overnight. The next morning, having breakfast we prepare to return to Kathmandu via a local bus or a private vehicle.
Best Time for Shortest Trek To Ama Yangri
The trek isn’t very long and can be done at any time. However, for the best views and climate, visit during the spring and autumn seasons. Spring season starts from March and ends in May, whereas, Autumn season starts from mid of September and ends in November in Nepal. Both of these season offer the best and most adequate weather and climatic condition for the trekkers to reach Ama Yangri.
The weather is pretty much clear during these seasons and we get the best view of the Himalayan ranges and lush hills during our drive and on the summit. You can surely enjoy the best of Ama Yangri in Autumn and Spring season just like from any other trekking routes in Nepal.
Difficulty Level of Shortest Trek To Ama Yangri
The hike from Tarke Ghyang to Ama Yangri is considered moderate. The initial section of the path is considerably easy. However, after a few hours, the path gets slowly steeper and we also gain altitude. This can challenge us if we are not physically fit.

Lodging and Fooding Services in Trek
We will be staying for two days at the lodge at Tarke Ghyang. There are multiple-choice from which we can choose according to our budget.
Most of them provide basic amenities to stay overnight including meals. However, it’s upon us if we want to explore other local foods as well in the village.
